Hannah's Birthday Party

What a beautiful day! The kids had Friday off which was so nice. Grandma and Papa stopped by to wish Hannah a happy birthday. She got a lot of cool things - including many crafts which will keep her busy for a long time.

My friend Christine brought Hannah a necklace, bracelet, and earrings she made herself. They are beautiful and Hannah loves them.

Getting ready for the party . . .

Alec had Colin over. Before the girls arrived I instructed him to leave the girls alone.

The girls arrived and within fifteen minutes the boys had loaded their nerf guns and were shooting at Hannah's window. I do think the girls were guilty of egging them on, of course.
They stuck around for pizza and cake/ice cream and then headed off to Colin's for a sleepover.

The girls - Hannah, Abigail, Madelynn, Madeline, and Katie

Our first craft was painting flower pots.

They turned out beautiful!

The weather was great so the girls played outside a lot. They love to jumprope.

Jones loves ropes and was right in there disrupting things.

Ice cream cupcakes - yum!

Only one candle to blow out . . .

After about five tries she was laughing too hard to do it and Alec did it for her.
They decorated t-shirts, made ribbon bracelets, and made a craft with mosaic tiles. They stayed very busy. After the arts and craft projects were done, they played games.

The morning after . . . David heard them still talking at 1:00 a.m. Hannah says that her and Madelynn made it until 2:30. Somehow they managed to be up by 7:00 the next morning.
Hannah requested David make banana pancakes for breakfast and the girls left later that morning. It was great to see Hannah and her friends smiling, laughing, and having so much fun. I'm glad she has such sweet friends.
